“We are pleased to award these organizations with funds to continue their agriculture education efforts,” says Charles Wright V, Chairman of the Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement. “The impact that these programs have on the future of agriculture in our communities is significant, and I am proud that the Foundation is able to provide support through our Community Education Program.”
Organizations that support agriculture education within MidAtlantic Farm Credit’s territory and Washington D.C. are encouraged to apply for funding in one of two different options - up to $2,000 and up to $10,000, depending on the size and scope of the request. The Foundation’s Board of Directors reviewed the applications and chose the four selected organizations to receive funding based on their alignment with the values and mission of the Foundation.
Phase 2 of the Community Education Program is open now through October 20, 2021. The Foundation also offers a student scholarship program each year, distributing over $100,000 to those pursuing a career in agriculture. The 2022 program will open in September.
