Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement Launches Ag Educator Scholarship Application
The Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement will be awarding $25,000 in scholarships to agriculture educators for continuing education.
Westminster, MD – The Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement announced it will be awarding $25,000 in academic scholarships to mid-Atlantic area teachers that are looking to obtain an advanced degree in agriculture or continuing education credits. The online application launched on August 3 and will be open through September 25, 2020.
“Agriculture educators plan a crucial role in preparing the future of our industry,” says Tony Ill, Chairman of the Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement. “There are many sides of agriculture that students can choose, and our ag educators are paving the way for youth to learn about the many options both on and off the farm. It’s important for these educators to continue advancing their knowledge to make an even bigger impact.”
The non-profit Foundation was established in 2015 and is funded by participating association MidAtlantic Farm Credit. The Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement also runs a Community Education Program and Student Scholarship Program.
“I am very confident that the future of agriculture is in good hands,” adds Ill. “I would encourage any agriculture educator considering continuing their education to apply for this unique scholarship program.”
